newbie question Fatboy totalled-resale value

I'm a novice so I'll refrain on giving advice about mechanics and rebuilding after damages, but for comparison my 2000 Fatboy with lots of chrome, new pipes, windshield, Corbin seat, etc. came to me for $10K and only 4000 miles. There are better buys out there, but man it's hard to be patient when its spring and 80 degrees outside, well, here in western NC anyway.
