Stator Gone Bad

I drew mean looking stash's on my little brothers faces with my moms face paint back in the 60's before playing football. I wish Jack would have been around to capture the moment.

I have a 1990 Fxlr low rider custom, I adquired. I had the stator replaced and a new battery. I am not sure on the voltage regulator. I donot have no power or nothing with the switch on. Also is it possible that a bad battery could cause the stator to over charge. The charging system is a 32 amp system. What is the best charging system for this year bike. Thanks much.

I would think the 32 amp. system to be correct for your model. When you say No Power with switch on , where are you checking for power? Are you using an Volt/Ohm meter? Check at the battery for 12.5+ volts with key off. Then turn the key on and recheck for excessive voltage drop.Normally it would be around 11Vdc because of lights on. Let us know more info
