Very thankful tonight

Sorry to hear about your nephew Slowrider, but as mentioned earlier, I'm very thankful that he was not hurt any worse. I'll remember him in my prayers. Best of luck for all parties involved.

Best wishes for your nephew's speedy recovery & good hearing he wasn't seriously hurt in this situation. Hate hearing another case of "I didn't see him" with vehicles. We'll pray for his health & safety.

best wishes to all.. sounds like quite an impact. Ill assume he wasnt wearing shorts and flip flops.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. Glad your nephew is going to be alright.
Your story has help make us be more aware of defensive riding.

Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery. Now for the lesson learned the hard way. Years ago I too was hit by a vehicle and of course, the driver stated the common .. I never saw him until "he hit me". In my former career as a police officer I responded to a few MVA's with motorcycles involved and heard the same response from the car/truck driver. So now when I'm out on a ride or trip..I just KNOW they won't see me...so I take the responsibility to SEE them first. At intersections I always assume they'll pull out or run the light/sign. This attitude has saved me more times than I can say. If their eyes are not looking into mine...I hesitate, slow down or even stop. It may not be cool or fast but I'd rather be safe.
Watch them watch you....if not be ready

Glad to hear it wasn't worse and prayer said for a quick recovery.

I came close to hitting a truck broadside a couple weeks ago. Watched the driver looking north as he rolled through the stop sign. He only looked in my direction just as I hit the brakes. He stopped just shy of being in my lane and I'm sure he could hear what I called him as I rode by.
They can't see you if they don't look!!
