Use mirrors to stay in formation.
If lead is on the left, the second rider, right, should see the leaders face in the lead bike right mirror.
The third biker should see the second bikers face in the second bike left mirror and so on back to the last.
I found riding in a group you can learn early the riders that don't understand counter steering and can't stay in their lane on a turn, if behind one back off early coming up to a turn or risk braking in the turn to avoid running up on the slower turning biker.
