You could try hair spray.It will take it off of finished wood. Don't ask.

Test it on the bottom first.

No big story but this is what happened. At the gas station filling up, Wife wants to help, ok bug remover and rag here, please clean windshield. Wife does great job, decides to do more, I say stop please bug remover is for windshield bugs, wife says fairing has bugs, cleans fairing, I'm still pumping gas, she moves to tour pack, I say please stop, she says tour pack is dirty, (on the road two weeks at this point) I say I don't care bug remover is for bugs, she presses red nail polish finger into rag with bug remover, wipes tour pack with rag and bingo transfers red nail polish to tour pack and says Oops!

Moral of story, wives don't listen but you guys have all the answers, thanks again!
