Bike is a 1998 Buell S3T with 13K miles on it...
Oil was last changed 2 rides ago and the bike has about 250 miles on the oil change...
I took it out yesterday on a local loop of about 25 miles. I pulled into the garage and looked down and oil was pouring out of the left side of the bike.
I shut it down, glad oil wasn't pouring on the street when I was leaning on it...
Put oil dry down, took the seat off and saw that the oil had pushed the dipstick up and had flowed out of the opening down the tank, over the swingarm and to the ground.
So, today after I cleaned everything up, I drained oil out of the tank to get the level to the lowest mark, started the bike and watched the oil flow...
The oil level started to build in the tank and I had to shut it down to prevent a overflow! What the heck????
I am concerned, does this mean there is an obstruction downline? Has there been a catastrophic failure somewhere?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
Cheers,
Bill
