You should quit beating yourself up Lang. Everybody does things like that but most won't admit it. Nothing hurt long term and I'll bet you never do that again so it was learning experience.
Yea Lang, the other week I replaced the water pump in my old truck. I pulled the old pump off and thru it in the recycle bin and took it to the street without removing the pulley studs. (Most new pumps don't come with pulley studs included anymore). The recycle truck hauled my old pump away that same day and when I went to put my new water pump on.......... well I felt pretty stupid.
And they turned out to be M8-1.25 studs and I had a heck of time finding any. Finally found them at Napa after searching several places including the Chevy Dealer. So I rode across town feeling stupid. My wife even told me I should have known better. Sometimes we are just plain stupid, but then sometimes we are brilliant too!
