Oil Change method

Just wondering how many touring riders do the complete oil change with the scavenger kits on the market as opposed to those who just drain and fill the regular way.

Been doing the old-school oil service(s) since I could hold a wrench and, so far, the only motor to blow was on my 1975 Kawasaki 350 enduro. Wasn't the oil - piston let loose from my early/green days of rebuilding the motor.

Old school so far, Just got the Scavenger kit did not try it yet.
I have a Dyna. The way you need to Scavenge a touring bike looks alittle scary
to me.

I do it the old school way, I have been tempted to get the scavenger system but I would need touring and softail versions. I really don't think its needed as I have over 130,000 miles since getting back into motorcycles and no failed engines.

I've done the Scavenger change the last two times I've changed the oil. Once you get the hang of it, it only adds maybe 10 minutes to the process.

It just makes sense to me to try to get ALL of the dirty oil out of the engine when you're putting expensive, new, Mobil I back in.
