Lifts

Hi,

Well since I bought a bike with white walls and lace wheels I really want to keep on them and keep them clean. I need to get a lift for my road king and would like some recommendations. Thanks:D

I have the older style J&S, and it works great. I like the fact that the bike is stable with the lift totally extended. Raising 911 pounds 18 inches above the ground is a bad time to find out that your cheap jack is not stable!! The newer J&S units have a different set of wheels, and are easier to move around. Watching the video that HDDon provided says it all.

Got mine at harbor freight 15 years ago. Never an issue.

I've got the Torin Big Red, got it off ebay brand new for I believe around 100 bucks. It's very hefty and well built.

Lifts my Ultra with no problem but I do strap it just in case.

I use a screw type platform jack for cleaning wheels, the platform is about 6 by 16, when screwed down it's about 3 inches high. If I remember right I bought it off ebay for about 60 or 70 dollars. You can lift the front or back, not both wheels. Very sturdy jack, the bike is also very sturdy when used this way.
