I found that the only warning that you get that the battery is running low, is a single chirp the first time I move the bike. It then happens more often as the battery dies.

Pretty sure my chirp is disabled, is it supposed to chirp when the alarm sets? Mine doesn’t!
 
If the chirping is enabled then it should chirp.
If your chirping is disabled then there should be no noise.
(I have mine in “chirpless” mode and my indicators flash to let me know the system is armed.)

There is a manual override procedure that you need to learn. I keep a copy in my wallet. There are instructions and wallet cards in the owner's manual if you have one. Google search or youtube if you don't.
