I'm sure you've already check the lines and clamps for leaks. How about the air filter? Runs okay from start to kill?
You say intermittent, would that be after riding it hard and quickly putting it away?
If so, try touring the block casually and then idling before riding into the garage and killing it. $0.02 worth.
