exhaust leak??

Time out.

If the clamp is a TORCA clamp, this clamp need to be flush with the end of the slip over pipe section covering the slots in the pipe. As you tighten the TORCA it will compress the two "halves" of the over-pipe securing the pipe and sealing the slots. If the TORCA is too far back over the solid part of the pipe, it will be ineffective. Check that first.

TQ

T Q I think the OP is talking about the smaller cross over between the front and rear exhaust pipes, it is a cheap set up, and a bit of high temp silicone or copper grease as Brian says will seal it, I have done newer Sportsters and Dynas that leak here like this Just my 2 cents worth:s

It is a TORCA clamp and it is installed correct.

Well...I just got back from Autozone and used the permatex ultra copper on the inside of the slip on pipe. Thanks Jack!

I put the clamp back on and am waiting for it to dry.
Won't know till late tonight/tomorrow AM if its fixed, but my hopes are up!

Thanks again everyone!

You should not need any type of sealer. If the pipes are brand new, they should fit right and there should be no leaks. I would get them to fit right or call the company to see what they say about the leak. Sealer is only a temporary fix.

It worked!

Shot some excess sealant out the fishtail, but no more exhaust leak.

Jeez...I'm glad that's fixed.

Thanks to all of you for your help!
