Which primary oil are you using.
When you say clutch spring, you mean the diaphragm spring.? Was the SE diaphragm spring installed recently. How many miles on the clutch pack.

Amsoil--had HD Syn 3 in it when I bought it and yes the diaphragm spring is a SE--installed it when we built the motor and guess the clutch has what the bike has 37000 miles

Sure sounds like disc pack shutter to me. 37K,,,I would check the discs & plates for wear. If they look good, install a new spring and maybe Formula + just as a test. Go from there and see if it gets better, worse or remains the same.
Very well could be a bad spring. They will get weak or a possible crack in a finger.

Clutch hub nut LOOSE? Or wrapped clutch hub?

How many miles? Have you tried to adjust your clutch?
