Check the clearance when you turn the bars all the way left or right (depending which side you mounted the holder) They may scratch the side of the gas tank ...

I took the cheap way out, I got one of the style/type bottle holders that you find on a bicycle( a real nice chrome one:bigsmiley12 and used the center screw on my windshield bracket(FLHR) for $6. Works like a charm...

I bought one off Ebay that mounted on the handle bar, I got a deal on it. or at least I thought I did. It was junk. So I ended up getting rid of it and got a Kur Drink holder ( I can't spell.) that came with a Cup.. I have a friend that has the same one and it looks good and Bolts into the throttle or Clutch control.. I think it will work fine when I take the time to install it.. I looked at one Harley has and it was made of Plastic, .
