OK. So I was riding to work the other morning, and this happened:

Went to Ben Taub Hospital which is a level 1 trauma hospital. Spent the day and night there and then was released on Tuesday.

I am a bit bruised up and have some stiches closing up the cuts. Road rash on my elbows, knees, and forehead!

Have to do some serious considering about the helmet thing. Who would have thought about a car going the wrong way on the HOV!!

Bike is probably toast. See pix below.

I ride in every day from the north side on the eastex frwy hov. I am constantly watching because I know sooner or later its gonna happen. It is real easy to get on the hov going the wrong way from where you get off downtown. Glad to hear you're still with us and sorry about the bike, it looks pretty bad.
