Bagger question

The specs. I have recorded are:
Harley 1” axle bearings are #9247 (52mm x 21mm x 1”).
25mm axle bearings are #9276A (52mm x 21mm x 25 mm)
so the thickness should be the same (21mm)

I'm puzzled, as I just looked at many 1" and 25mm on ebay and the thickness is listed as .825 or 21mm.

The smaller bearing is what came out of the 18 inch stock Harley rim. The wider bearing is the new 1 inch bearing that matches what was in my 16 inch wheel

Obvious difference in thickness. I'm stumped as to what to do. Opened a can of worms so to speak. Bike now laid up not being ridden :sly:

This is the stock thinner 25 mm bearing that came out of the 18 inch wheel. That part number you showed 9276A is what's listed on it but it Mich thinner than the 1 inch bearing

Next thing to consider is whether the brakes will line up. In 2008 HD went to a Brembo front braking system so I am unsure if everything will line up and contact properly. 1st is the hub width on your original wheel and this 2009 wheel the same?

I HATE it when I give bad advice. I've been looking at the wheel section of the HD catalog, and am trying to figure out the differences. I'll update IF I figure it out.

Post #1 says you got a 18" front wheel from a '09 Street Glide (FLHX). I just did some looking, and specs. I found show'09 FLHX's came with a 17" wheel. In a effort to get good data, does your 18" wheel have a part # cast into it? What is the #? Both my '92 and '07 wheels have numbers cast in them. The other ? was asked in above post, are flange widths the same? Are wheel bearing seats the same depth in the hubs?

The wheel is from a 2010 . My error. The rotors that came with it are 11 3/4 compared to the 11.5 on my 16 inch wheel. I bought brand new show polished stainless steel rotors. Reinstalled the 25mm bearings the 18 inch wheel came with. And last night bought a 25mm chrome axle direct from JP cycles. This should fix the issues now and there is only about 8000ths difference between the 2 axles. I should be fine. Here is a pic of both wheels and rotors. New tire on the way as well
