I'm trying to adjust the shocks on my SportyL using the tool I got from HD and have hit a snag. The bike is fitted with chrome saddlebag supports which are getting in the way - when I get the tool engaged with the slots on the shock I can't get leverage to turn it because it hits the legs of the chrome support.
Just looking at the manual I see that it specifies a spanner wrench but the one I was sold is more like a "scissor" type appliance. Could this be the problem?
Surely you don't have to remove the saddlebag supports every time you need to adjust shocks??
Would appreciate any advice out there.... Thanks
