ACF 50 or S100

There are many products on the market for protecting things from the harsh environment of winter but I think I get the most bang for the buck from plain old WD-40. I but this by the gallon, put it in my own sprayers and after the motorcycle, mower, or whatever is clean, I spray them from top to bottom with the WD-40.

It will dry and create a protective film that is really quite durable. When it's time to ride again, or use whatever has been coated and stored, one simply puts a new coat on again, let it sit for a few moments and then wash it off.

For those of us that ride when there might be some salt present, do not wash it off and ride, ride, ride. In the springtime when the salt is cleared from the roads, recoat and wash off.

I have used this method for years with no damage from salt, vinyl and rubber parts tend to stay soft and pliable and the cost for the product is usually less than half of the other products on the market.
