A lot of metal in Primary Oil

Thanks everyone for the input. I'll check the primary when the next 5k Service is due.

I now have Moble V-twin 20/50 in the engine and primary and Moble1 Synthetic 75/90 in the trans.

Please bear with me but I have one more dumb question about oil. Will running Moble V-twin 20/50 in the primary work or sould I change it to HD Formula+. Hate to buy 3 differant oils every 5k.

Thanks

Take a look at the link below. You will see a lot of "here is what I like" type stuff. Most of the guys do NOT suggest a synthetic in the primary due to the possibility of the clutch slipping. I like the Spectro Primary Chaincase Gear Oil (85W) because it is formulated with that in mind. I know that Glider and some of the other moderators like Formula+.

[url removed] wewbsite claims that Mobil1 v twin is designed with the proper friction modifiers for wet clutch primaries.
