Welcome to The Forum, Why not use the H D reman program, that way you keep your stock cases with the original VIN:s

I have used the reman program and I could not have ask for a better outcome. I think if you talk to your dealer there is a way to upgrade to the 96 or 103. All the aftermarket motors I looked at started at $6500 and went up. I had my 1994 FLSTC motor rebuilt and everything that moved (bearings, belt, primary, clutch and cables) replaced by the dealer and got away under $4000. Motor came with a 12 mo unlimited mi warranty.
