voltage regulator wiring

I have a 78 sportster with a generator and solid state voltage regulator. The regulator has a green, red and tan wire . I don't know which wires go to which posts on the generator and which wire goes to charge the battery. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Green goes to F. Red to A and Generator. Tan to battery.

Thanks for the replies. The new regulator has red, green and black wires. Would the black go to the battery?
