Went on a ride yesterday and all of a sudden the transmission seemed to shift up okay with it's loud clunk that is normal for an 07 street glide but down shifting it seemed it was hard to shift, the shifter knob didn't seem to travel as much. It even got stuck in some gears while down shifting. I was wondering if this is an indication that it needs a new clutch or adjustment or if something worst is going on. There was no gradual tell tale it's like it just went. The bike is a new used bike from Harley. I am planning to check the fluids this week and ordered all new fluid for a flush job. I checked the linkage while riding to see if something was jamming it but I couldn't see anything. Will check it over good tomorrow.

Check the ends of the linkage rod, HD is using cheap joints now instead of heim joints, as they wear you get alot of slop

Check your transmission arm as well, it can loosen on the shaft and make shifting harder.

Look at the rod ends#16 and #17 on the tranny, see if they are loose
