Great read.
I am very impressed with the Dunlop tires on the new touring bikes. The bi-materials soft and tough. They even added (molded) the HD bar and shield to the sidewalls. Pretty neat touch.
I'm amazed at how fast they lose pressure. The kids got me the nice HD tire gauge with the braided hose and depth gauge. I just filled them to the correct pressure and went on a 300 mi. trip last weekend. I checked it yesterday and both front and back tires were about 5 PSI low.
It took me a while to decipher the sidewall triangle and tread wear bar from the manual. This article explained it well. Once you finally see the tread wear bar located down (at the bottom) of the tread cutout it makes sense. At first I thought they were referring to the lines on the sidewall.:newsmile105:
