Starting problems

On road trip 2002 fxdl stop to stretch legs. turn key press start. hear small pop. No more electric. When you flick key to assesory there is a breif flash of E7E7E7.
checked all 15 amps fuses all are good. Can anyone help?
 
Check your battery terminals for tightness. Both ends of cables. Is it FI or carb? Could be system relay or start relay also for starters.

In case you aren't aware, there's 2 negative battery cables. Battery to left side frame lug, frame lug to starter ground bolt. That lug can be the problem.

As has already been mentioned, sounds like a bad connection on one of your battery cables. Not necessarily at the battery though. Could easily be at either end.
