Starter clutch

I just removed my starter and think that the clutch is bad. I read somewhere that you can use a off brand other then the harley part. Any suggestion?

Glider referenced awhile back a Nikko? starter clutch that works with some of the major Japanese make starters like Toyota & Nissan. Go to the Search tab near the top and type starter clutch or the Self Help Tips tab for Starter/Clutch tips.

Its a Nippondenso(Denso) starter a pretty common automotive starter.
Here a link for WAI Global... go to OE Bill of Materials and you can get the drive number and bearing numbers...or just take the starter to a local starter shop and they should be able to fix you up.
