Speed bleeders

Not sure what "speed bleeders" are. I have a bleeder called a Mity-Vac and it works very well, a lever hand pump is incorporated into the design with a reservoir to catch the evacuated fluid. About $20 back then.

If the "speed bleeders" you are referring to are one way brake bleeder valves, then yes they are helpful. They will keep you from accidentally adding air to the system while trying to get air out of the system.

Thanks I'll pick up a couple because I'm doing this project by myself.
Honestly, I find absolutely no need to use Speed Bleeders on any of my bikes. I do have one (A Motion Pro unit), but have found it superfluous. My Harley is a single disc thing and is very easy to bleed the old way.
All my other bikes have twin disc setups- no A.B.S. on any though- and are equally easy.
If you have A.B.S there’s different procedures.
I also have a Mity-Vac pressure bleeder: but I just seem to prefer the way I’ve settled on.
Whether I choose to do it from the top down or from the calliper up.
