Softail slip ons

so I read here that softys have the catalytic converter in the muffler. So if I replace them with probably Cobra slip ons, does that mean there will be no cat.convt.? Does it make any difference? The cobra slip ons are only 300 dollars,I don't think they'll have a cat. convt. in them.

I've heard of people removing their cats, will slip ons be louder because of cat removal? Don't want too loud,,which is why I chose cobras, instead of V&H.Would a fuel controller be needed with cat removal?

If just slipons probably not, if you add more air flow then you'll want more fuel added. I would think removing the cat your sound will be a little louder.

You'll have less restriction on the exhaust flow so it stands to reason the sound will change.
