SERT Question

I like the stock pipes on my Superglide, but want to "open" up the intake. I was thinking about HD's SERT, and SE filter with the stock pipes. What can I expect from that?

You should expect a gain for sure, the sert will give you a better then stock map, but still running the restrictive stock exhaust the engine is breathing "in" easier but it can't breath "out" any easier because of the restrictive exhaust. If you changed both you could expect 8-10 hp gain but to be honest with you most people do it the other way around because they care more about sound then performance, so I don't really have the experince with just a breather change to quote numbers to answer your question. Check out the S/E heavy breather, I have seen as much as 5 hp gain over the S/E breather uses the stock air cover, a course that was also with S/E performance mufflers again. Maybe someone else could answer your question with numbers, there's some good techs on this forum.
