Replacing cam bearings?

I am in the process of replacing my cam chain tensioners on my 02' 88 twin cam in my Heritage. 38,000 miles. Harley sells a cam kit with all the gaskets that also has cam bearings for the cam plate and in motor case. I hadn't thought about doing the bearings. Does everyone replace those bearings when that far in no matter what? Thanks

You do want to replace those bearings. Make sure you replace them with Torrington bearings.

I believe this is the correct number for the bearings for the 88: Torrington B-148 bearings.
