Hi everybody thanks for adding me I hope I'm in the right section here if not please let me know as I am extremely new to all of this. I am a first-time Harley owner I have a 2004 Fatboy and I'm having a little problem I'm trying to replace the seat screw on the back on top of the fender I don't know if these are pressed in or how they're attached but there's a screw with the spring and then it goes through a holder which is pressed into the seat I think and I have a new screw for it but I need to get the old one out any help is greatly appreciated . Thanks in advance Jeno

These screws are oem on Fatboy seats, unless it is stripped I would not mess with it
I have the same type

It's been MY experience that the seats are held down on the back fender by a threaded Carriage Bolt, nothing more.

That was true of my Fat Boy (2009); it's true of my Road Glide Ultra (2013) and it was true of two Honda Shadows I had, before that!

If you're seeing springs, I would think maybe that's an aftermarket set up.
