rear brake pads

The rears are "virtually" the same...the difference being tougher access due to the bags and such being in the way and tougher method to bleed the brakes due to master cylinder plumbing. The key is to use paint scraper & wood stirrer combo to pry open the space wide enough for the old pads to come out, then even wider to get the "fatter" new pads in. The other thing is cleanliness and using only clear water and perhaps dish soap that leaves no residue if it gets on the friction surfaces (even non-chlorinated Brakleen can drive slurry of debris around contaminating stuff) and when bleeding the brakes (just to be sure all air is out of the lines) using proper fluid is a must.
