Anyone know why the ETIMS is set to "off" when the bike comes from the factory? It would seem to me that most riders would like it on most, if not all, of the time. Also, is there a reason a rider would not want to have it on all the time? I turn mine on all the time. Am I missing something here?

As you say Jim, it's optional, some riders don't like the feature.
