Is it worth joining the AMA? Do they do us Harley Riders any good. Everything I can find more or less points at racers and dirt riders. Does the AMA speak up for us?

From what I have seen I would say no. They don't do to much for Harley riders. Some however may have a different view of it.

I guess my question is, do they fight for our right to change mufflers etc. Do they fight for our freedom of choice to modify and personalise our rides?

For what it's worth, I think ABATE, AMA, and other motorcycle organizations that support riders rights need our membership. IMO, if you don't like some of the proposed laws concering motorcycles don't just complain, do something. If our opinions are not clear to the folks passing biker related laws then they will go their merry way and pass some dumb rules. Joining an organization that supports bikers takes practically no time and a relatively small about of $$$. :newsmile106:
