Oil pressure/synthetic oil

That's exactly what I'm doing with my bike if there is snow on the ground outside. If no snow, I wear a winter riding suit, a ski mask to keep my chin from freezing, and find an excuse to go for at least a short cruise to town.
 
That film sticking or slowly running down raises another question for the oil guys. Does a synthetic BLEND combine the good characteristics of each or the worst characteristics of each? For an engine going extended periods between operations, is a synthetic blend better than a straight synthetic? That persistence of film with the dino oils may just push me back to them with more frequent changes.
