O2 sensors

I pulled the O2 sensors off of my 08 1200c to inspect. They were coated with a white/brown crust. Wonder if the element is coated with the same. Is this normal or should the thing be clean?

Considering replacement if I can buy part other than at HD.

Arnt these Bosch sensors and if so what is the bosch replacement part number?

sounds normal to me. They're in the exhaust pipe and are made to withstand the Harsh environment in there. If they're working fine why would you consider replacing them?

The price of the genuine HD o2 sensors is very reasonable. At $35/each (on-line) there is probably no reason to hunt down a compatible sensor. You also won't have to deal with the electrical connector issue if you get the HD.

Been chasing a problem with my bike and if o2 sensors are cheep then I can rule them out as a problem.

Hoople, where did you find them for 35?

Hat, my o2 sensors are part #27683-07 which sell for $34.40 over at Lakeshore.
Even the MSRP price is a Very fair price by the MoCo.
