Hi,
Glad to be part of this group. We just moved to AZ (Sierra Vista). Before moving I owned a 1976 FX shovelhead. Bought it new back in 1976 and put over 160,000 miles on it. I did most all of the maintenance and repairs it needed. I will try to lend help to anyone here who has questions or problems with the older models.
I sold the old shovel when we moved. Now I am in the market for a newer Harley. Leaning towards the Ultra. I have a budget in the $6000 to $9000 range.
I have been looking at Ultra Classics in the year 2000 to 2003 range. Most have 20K to 40K miles. Been checking the web for information on any problems with bikes in the time frame. Any input from anyone here would be helpful.
