I'm an old rider who is interested in some nostalgia. My question concerns the dry clutch hub on my belt drive primary. Should the hub bearing around the hub be lubricated. If lubricated, is there a point where the lubrication would contaminate the clutch fiber pads?

I found this but not sure if it answers your Question,

got my baker 4 speed in the bike. got the exh pipe bent etc for the kicker spring. my clutch hub disc is waiting on me. when i reassemble the clutch hub, i assume the cage and rollers need to be greased since i have a belt primary. will this grease get thrown in to the clutch plates? i assume i shouldnt over grease it, because of the throw off, but i want to make sure i dont wreck anything and do it right.

The answer to his question was, 'use marine grade grease and only use a very light coating'.
