Just bought a new fairing for my brilliant silver road king. Was curious before I spent the bucks on Harley paint if anyone has had any luck color matching with a different brand i.e. duplicolor etc.
The Harley paint is just PPG relabeled and marked up.Silver is one of the easier colors to match.The big expense comes with everything else required to achieve the final result.
For a single piece like the fairing it would be cheaper to have a body shop do it for you than you could buy the materials required to do it yourself.If youre fortunate enough to have a local PPG shop in your area thats who I would recomend for color match purposes.
Glider has provided a helpful link for the paint codes.Although each suppliers codes will differ..Im fairly certain these are valid PPG codes.
