Jm headseats vs harley factory ones

hello,me again...

my 96 e-glide u-classic has 7-pin din connectors and my jm sets have 5-pin din connectors (yamaha venture)they plug in but don't seem to work correctly
can anybody give the low-down on how they are supposed to work with the
radio and cb and intercom??with my sets i can listen but thats about it...
