inner fairing finish

short of painting the inner fairing is there any treatment that will maintain it and return it to original black finish?

I had mine replaced in warranty ,then I decided to go ahead ahead and paint it anyway.Looks much better then the matte black.

I use Mothers Back to Black on my inner fairing. It seems to work ok, no light areas.

I use "Pig Spit".

A light spray, don't even need to wipe down.

Can also use it on the engine cylinders.

I use a product called Refinish Restorer on my "03 heavily cladded truck. It does a great job of restoring the original color and lasts about a year (pretty good for a truck that's park outside all year. The product is hard to come by though, I had to call around and get some shipped from a couple states away from me.
