Like a few of the others I stumbled into this forum. I live in SW Michigan, currently own a 2005 "Sporty" recently trailering it out to Sturgis S.D. where the wife and I had a blast, put almost 1000 miles on the bike riding the "hills." This is my second Sportster, having owned a 1980 XLS in the late 80's I've been riding since high school (1968) and have owned some Honda's in that time as well. The first "real" motorcycle I ever rode on was a friends 1958 "Sporty" (I think it was an XLCH) All I know is that it really put the "hook" in me and I vowed to own one some day, now I'm on my second one, by the way it's a 1200.
