Just bought my first Harley. 1999 Heritage Softail Classic. I commute 38 miles one way to work. I have only ridden dirt bikes when I was younger but never owned a road bike. I found an inexpensive "other" brand last spring and decided to try commuting by motorcycle. Convinced my wife to give me her blessing, took the motorcycle safety course, got my license and put over 4000 miles on in just a few months. I am hooked. However when passing a HD rumbling down the road I would think that is what I want someday. One came available within my budget so here I am. Thanks for providing a clean site to discuss and learn.
