Head differences from 00 to 05

Hi there. I have a 2000 roadking. Got a smoking deal on some new (300 miles dealer takeoffs) 2005 heads. I would like to use them and was wondering if there was going to be any problems? I am going to get my original heads redone later in the year and perhaps change them out over next winter. Thanks for the help.

I think the major head change was in 06, don't see any problems, only thing I would check is that they have the new style seals on them before installing.

In 06, they raised the intake floor some, and opened up the exhaust port, in order to dump heat, they were purposely keeping in the engine with the 5 speed bikes, to maintain EPA standards best they could.
Once cooling them off, the 6 speed(read "thowing the anchor out" hehe) was introduced to lower federal highway speed test emmissions via rpm reduction.
