Recommendations from a fellow rider convinced me to try a Laminar Lip on my '09 Street Glide. The differance in wind buffeting was dramatic and immediate. I attached it to the stock 4" smoked shield. It directs the wind almost over the top of my helmet. I plan to transfer it to a 6" shield to get the additional deflection I need for my 6' height.
Prior to the Lip, I had a 12" aftermarket shield, and a 15" shield. The 15" shield was too tall to see over, and if it fogged over in the Winter, I had to look around it, but it did provide a lot of wind and bug protection.
