01 evo backfires. Seems to idle wrong. I put a new gas cap on it, which made it better, but still has an issue. Other than that, runs good. What are the possible problems.

OK we need a little more specific info. Idles wrong?? To high, to low??? What mods have been done?? What carb are you running? When was the last time you changed your plugs??? Plug Wires?? How old is the gas in the tank??

"Seems to idle wrong" gives us very little to go on to help you out. Like Don said, give us more info.

Too many things can cause these symptoms. Start with the basics, check the plugs and wires, check for good connections and corrosion free at the wires and coil towers, how is the gas? Old or just poor quality ? Have you had any major changes to the carb or ignition lately, what was the last modification you did, all can be a factor
