ECM to Thunder Max question

Hi all. Quick question. Almost there...On my 2008 Softail Heritage Classic, I am installing a Thunder Max (open loop) to replace the bad ECM. I have the security system on the bike. Do I have to re-learn the TM to the bike before install of map or do I power up the TM, download map then relearn to the system?? Thanks.:newsmile024:

The security system works regardless of the ECU you have on your bike.
HOWEVER, you will need to disarm it when you disconnect the battery to fit your T/max.
Put it into service or transport mode or whatever. (service mode ,I think)

One question: why did you go for the Open Loop set up? Was it a cost thing or were you referred that way?
Open Loop tuning is w-a-a-y more difficult to use and tune, than the Autotune option.
