classic paint patterns

I have been changing the look of my '92 FXR with no real direction. I have decided on a "old school" stripped down "FL" look and I am looking for somewhere that I can see some classic FL type paint patterns. Any help would be appreciated.

I covered all the paint schemes, emblems and colors on my blog a while back, starting from 1936 through 1965. Just do a search for Riding Vintage (can't post links yet) and then click on "tech" at the top right. Scroll down and you'll find 9 articles with images of tanks, color swatches, etc. Might give you some ideas...
