Chrome Rocker Covers

I have an 02 Dyna super glide. The bike came with polished aluminum rocker covers and I would like to replace them with chrome covers. I was just wondering if it was possible to replace the covers without removing the engine. If I just remove the fuel tank is there enough clearance to change the covers? If I have to pull the engine it probably isn't worth it.

no need to remove engine! get a manual before you do this

Absolutely get the manual. You must remove the rocker arms etc., and there is a procedure to rotate the engine when reassembling them. Also, don't buy cheap chrome rocker boxes, the possibility of leaks is not worth it.

remember and fit new quality gaskets no point in putting it all together then having oil on the chrome
