Check engine and battery light Code 0562

For future info, Mz Bling had her engine and battery light come on yesterday. Cleared code 0562 and engine/battery light came on shortly threreafter. Checked throughtout forum and found either stator or voltage regulator bad. Took to indie co. this morning, stator was bad. Voltage regulator read fine. New stator and rode home with no issues.

For future ref., if you have a code, record it, clear it. If another code is set, check to see if it is the same one. This represents a definite problem.

Great advice. Cleared codes several times and same code did appear. After checking thru forum and the above link it was Labor Day and neighbors gone or riding that have meters. Had to wait until this morning with the Indie Co. These guys (along with HD Tallking) are the best and have saved our marriage on several occasions.

Go to Northern Tools or Habour Freight and get yourself a cheap DVOM. They are less than $20.
