Better sound from your speakers

You can improve the sound quality from any batwing mounted speaker, OEM or aftermarket for cheap. Next time the outer fairing is off, install some padding on the inside of the fairing, behind the speaker. I used foam air cond. insulation that has the sticky back, but most anything that will cover the hard shell will work, even several layers of tape and fabric. Don't let the insulation touch the speaker itself, it may cause distortion or heat buildup. It won't make your OEM speakers sound like top shelf aftermarkets, but you should notice an improvement.

Another way to accomplish this is to first lay down some "Press and Seal" (covering for food like saran wrap) on the inside of the fairing, be generous and cover over edges, then carefully apply spray on foam insulation to make a layer about 1" thick and let harden, you can then remove it from the fairing and trim it to fit properly. Worked great for mine and increased the quality of the sound.

Also the large split foam water pipe insulation and duct tape works real good
